NO PREP Holiday Lessons

I just posted 2 brand new NO PREP lessons for right before holiday break. They make great one off minilessons to reinforce concepts and skills.

The first product is a Literary Analysis on 3 different short stories. The first story, students are walked through how to do a literary analysis and what to focus on.

The other two stories are used as paired texts in order to do comparative writing as is expected on MCAS now with the Next Gen.

The second product is all about rhetorical analysis– specifically visual- through the use of Starbucks Holiday Cups.

Students will analyze the visuals, learn about the 2015 “Red Cup Controversy” of 2015, design their own cup design, and pitch it to the class who will act as Starbucks executives.

These fun, NO PREP lessons are perfect to get in the mood for the season whatever holiday students may celebrate. They’re inclusive and of high interest to students.

Simply post and go. If your school does not use Google Slides for work, simply download the slides as a Powerpoint.
